Although most visitors arrive by car, RV, or on foot from nearby campgrounds, Charlotte Motor Speedway can also be reached using public transport combined with short transfers.
Concord Charlotte Express (CCX)
The Concord Charlotte Express bus service provides a direct connection between Charlotte and Concord, with several useful stops for race visitors, including:
This route allows fans to travel from central Charlotte – or even from the airport via the light rail network – to the Speedway area without needing a car.
Race-Day Shuttle Services
During major NASCAR race weekends, shuttle buses typically operate between selected parking areas, campgrounds, and Speedway entrances. Services usually begin several hours before the event and continue after the race until crowds clear. Post-race queues can be busy, but boarding generally moves efficiently.
Train connections
There is no rail station directly at the Speedway. However, Amtrak serves the Charlotte station with routes including the Carolinian and Piedmont. From the station, you can connect to the LYNX Blue Line light rail and transfer to the CCX bus at JW Clay Station for onward travel to the circuit.
Taxis and rideshare
Uber, Lyft, and local taxi services operate throughout the Charlotte and Concord area. Dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones are normally organised near the Speedway during major events to help manage traffic flow.
