Most fans reach the Speedway in three main ways: by car, by air, or with limited use of public transport. The best option depends on where you’re travelling from, your schedule, and how you plan to organise your race day.
By car – Driving is the most popular option. Charlotte Motor Speedway is located just off Interstate 85 in Concord, northeast of Charlotte. Race weekends usually bring heavy traffic, so allow extra time for arrival, parking, and possible shuttle transfers from outer parking areas.
By air – For those flying in, Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is the nearest major airport, roughly 25 miles from the circuit. Smaller airports, such as Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA), also handle regional and private flights. Rental cars, taxis, and rideshare services are readily available.
By public transport – Public transit options are somewhat limited. The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) does not provide direct service to the Speedway, so fans using transit will typically need to combine bus routes or rely on taxis or rideshare services for the final part of the journey.
